Unraveling the Spiritual Dimensions of Language and Grammar - Vyakarana - HUA

The course introduces the tradition of the philosophy of Vyakarana while providing comparisons with other schools of Indian thought. It also provides an overview of Vakyapadiya along with a selection of sections pertaining to the central themes of the philosophy of Vyakarana. Understand the philosophy of language that provided the concept of apoddhara (dissection and abstraction) based on which Panini formulated his Astadhyayi. Understand the engagement with language and grammar as a spiritual process.
