Arnica Oil

Arnica oil is obtained from the flower Arnica Montana or more commonly known as Arnica. It belongs to the Sunflower family of flower, and mainly grown in Siberia and Central Europe. Although, it can be found in temperate regions North America. It is known by several different names in different regions, ‘Mountain daisy’, ‘Leopard’s bane’, ‘Wolf’s bane’, ‘Mountain’s tobacco’, etc. Arnica oil is obtained by infusing dried Arnica flower in Sesame and Jojoba oil. It has been used for centuries to treat hair conditions like hair loss, dandruff, split ends and greying of hair. It is also antispasmodic in nature, its active nature compounds help in treating muscle soreness, cramps and inflammation. Arnica oil can be used in making hair care products because of its anti-bacterial properties. Its anti-microbial and anti-septic benefits can be used in making soaps and handwashes as well. It can be used in making pain relief balms and ointments because of its antispasmodic nature.
