Gingee Fort,Villupuram

Gingee Fort (also called Senji Fort) is an ancient fort in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu . It is known to be one of the earliest surviving forts in southern India.It is located in Villupuram district, and close to the coastal city of Pondicherry and Chennai (which is also the capital city of Tamil Nadu).
